In this video, Mike Jones, owner of Insight Homes, talks about 2×6 exterior wall and roof insulation products used in their homes to reduce energy costs.

Brief Synopsis:

A 2×6 exterior wall provides substantial depth for blown blanket insulation with an R value of 21. An additional benefit of using blown blanket insulation is the natural sound barrier the material creates between the exterior and interior spaces. Insight Homes also uses an open-cell foam insulation applied directly to the underside of the roof structure achieving an R value of 19. The foam insulation provides a clean and temperate climate in attic and crawl spaces.
